Laura (McKinley) Tichy, IIDA, LEED AP

Laura McKinleyOriginally a Midwest native, Laura relocated to Boston in 2004 to work in the city’s architecture and interior design industry. Laura is a certified Interior Designer as well as a LEED accredited professional. She is a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and was nominated to be part of Boston’s Interior Design Emerging Leaders Network.

Laura is proficient in Autodesk’s Revit® Building Information Modeling software, which allows the team to design in 3-dimensions while pushing the level of design and presentations to a higher level.

Laura has extensive experience in workplace design. Laura’s design approach is full service and client focused. She prides herself on her commitment to her clients, strong relationships and sustainable design practices. From the project’s inception, Laura is integrally involved in all phases of the design process; programming, design development, coordination, documentation, implementation and construction administration.

Laura and her husband recently purchased a home in Medford, and is quickly learning “the joys of homeownership” as she begins the renovation process. In her free time, Laura enjoys being active and outdoors. Some of her hobbies include camping, hiking, biking, and running. Laura also has a Miniature Dachshund named Jackson. A constant source of entertainment, Jack has learned how to expertly walk the fine line between being completely adorable and being completely obnoxious.
