Kara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Endicott College in 2008 and is currently a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She has now accumulated over 8 years of experience in various design sectors, including K-12, higher education, healthcare, lab design and commercial interiors. No matter the project type, Kara focuses on how thoughtful planning and innovative design can impact user experiences. She enjoys getting to know her clients and projecting their culture and personality into their new space.
Kara is fortunate to have been “brought up” with a team of highly integrated architects and interior designers, as it has allowed her to recognize how important the synergy between the two disciplines is. She is an avid Revit user, and therefore a proponent of efficient, single-platform design and documentation. As a LEED AP with specialization in Interior Design + Construction (ID+C), Kara is always looking for ways to reduce life cycle costs and improve indoor environmental health. Most importantly, she appreciates having the opportunity to use her creative, technical and problem solving skills to design and improve interior environments.
Kara likes to spend her free time away from a computer screen. She enjoys hiking, indoor rock climbing, running, hand-making cards and jewelry, improving her vegan baking skills, and exploring new places, both domestic and abroad.
