With over an 18 year career in Architecture and Interior Design specializing in Workplace Solutions, Amee has a distinct understanding of the importance of meticulous detailed design and the integral balance between creative and functional implementation of client’s requirements.
Amee’s strongest attribute is the ability to combine creative, innovative design with thorough technical expertise. She is currently working on projects with Nuance Communications (International and National), America’s Test Kitchen, Akamai Technologies and High Liner Foods.
Originally from Mumbai, India Amee lives in Sherborn with her husband Prashant and two adorable sons Ishan and Aryan. Amee loves to paint and craft. She has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and learning new things is a lifelong goal for her-one she tries to achieve every day. She speaks Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, English and a little bit of German. Her favorite thing to do is playing in the backyard with her 2 sons chasing dragonflies. She loves Indian food and makes a mean Chicken Biryani.
Other fun facts to know about Amee is that at the age of 12 she learned Indian Classical Dance for over 5 years and has performed before large audiences on several occasions. She is an avid collector of art and artifacts from around the world. Amee has travelled most of the Indian continent and visited the famous Architect Laurie Baker’s home. She is very inspired by mud architecture and sustainable design and construction methods developed in response to geography and climate. She is also a strong believer in the principles of “Vaastu” (the science of construction) which deals with how the laws of nature affect human dwellings.
As for the future Amee plans to travel the world with her family and their first destination is going to be Kenya, Africa.
